In my upcoming game “Ultimate Arcade Overdrive”, you keep playing retro style mini games while you must handle chaotic events that occur around you. The speakers break, a friend needs to talk, screen disturbances, the bully wants to fight and so on. Keep playing and get to the top of the high scores.
Mechanics
Concentration and Hydration
You need to stay focused. When your concentration decreases, your view gets shaky and the camera becomes fish-eye. Hold LT to increase concentration again. But be aware, that you cannot use the left joystick, while you do this.
When you de-hydrate, you cannot keep up concentration any more. So, check your hydration level frequently. Hold RT to drink. Be aware, that you cannot use the right joystick, while you do so.
Coins, Lives and Friends
When you lose all hearts, you’ll die. The machine gives you 10 seconds, to insert another coin to continue the game with 1 heart. But you don’t have coins by your own. You start with one coin and from then, you must hope, that one of your friends (that surround you), will toss you a coin in the right moment. The more friends you have around you, the more coins you can get and the higher your score.
Events
While you play all the mini games non-stop, thinks happen. Mostly, you need to react on those events with your right hand, while you play on the game with your left one. Most events are simple quicktime events, some are dialogues where you have to choose the right answer options. Dialogues can lead people to stay and support you, so that you have more people that could give you coins.
